The Greater Atlanta UK Alumni Club annual meeting is scheduled for Sunday May 20th at 6 p.m.at the Perimeter Embassy Suites Hotel (Tara Hall Board Room), 1030 Crown Pointe Parkway, Atlanta, 30338 (Phone 770-394-5454).  

We will be deciding the officers for next year as well as discussing this past year and next year's planned activities.

This meeting is open to any all members in good standing of the UK Alumni Association. We are seeking comments, suggestions and any contributions that members would like to make so that we can try to continue to expand our activities and include more people.   We have the student send off and college fairs coming early this fall, as well as the football season. Please come prepared with thoughts and suggestions for the coming year.

Enjoy the two most exciting minutes in sports with the Greater UK Alumni Club at our 2012 Kentucky Derby Party. All alumni and friends of UK are invited to take part in the festivities of the 138th Run for the Roses!

 It's a safe bet: you won't want to miss this party! Cost to attend is $20, which includes a $5 contribution to the Greater Atlanta UK Alumni Club's scholarship fund, awarding scholarships to Georgia students attending UK.

Cost also includes a food buffet, one mint julep, and a free raffle available to UK Alumni Association members who present their ID card. Wear your best Derby hat for the hat competition! There will also be some friendly wagering on the Great race, the highlight of the evening.

The event will begin at 4:00 p.m. (EDT). Alumni and fans will enjoy the opportunity to purchase UK merchandise, music and d.j., face painting, giveaways, and an appearance by the UK band, cheerleaders and Wildcat mascot. A cash bar and food purchase options will also be available.

 

Cost to attend is $5 for UK Alumni Association members who pre-register and $10 for nonmembers and event walk-ups. Admission is FREE for children ages 10 and younger.
